Ich habe am Wochenende mal wieder
einen Quilt fertiggestellt, mit dem Thema Thomas die Lokomotive. Leider war der
Thomas Stoff nur mit großen Motiven erhältlich (20-30 cm), sodass ich ihn auf
die Rückseite "verbannen" musste.
Auf
der Vorderseite waren unterschiedliche grau und blau Töne gewünscht, die ich
mit einem zweiten blauen Stoff mit kleinen Lokomotiven kombiniert habe.

I have finished up another Quilt this weekend, which
was under the topic of Thomas the Train. Unfortunately only fabric with
larger trains was available (20-30 cm/ 8-12"), so I had to
"ban" Thomas to the backside of the Quilt.
For the front different shades of blue
and grey were desired, which I combined which I combined with another blue
fabric with smaller trains on it.

Die einzelnen Quadrate sind
7x7" groß und der Quilt hat ein Endmaß von 150 x 200 cm. Genau die
Richtige Größe um auf dem Boden darauf zu spielen und auch als Tagesdecke auf
einem Einzelbett.

The individual squares have I size of 7x7" and
the quilt has a final size of 150 x 200 cm (59x78"). Just the perfect size
to play on it on the floor or as a bedspread for a single bed.

Bei der Rückseite stand ich vor
dem Problem, dass der Thomas Stoff nur eine Breite von 140 cm hat, also hab
ich überlegt, wie man ihn geschickt verbreitern kann. Ich hatte ja schon mal
als Preview mein Nähpröbchen der Gleise gezeigt, auch wenn man es aus dem
Kontext gerissen vielleicht so nicht als solche erkennen konnte, sind sie
doch ganz toll geworden.

With the backside I was facing the problem, that the
Thomas fabric is only 140 cm wide, so I thought about a way to extend it. I
had already posted a preview of my test for the train tracks, though I'm
sure, taken out of context they were not necessarily recognizable. But they
turned out great.

Da sollte für Paul dem Zug
spielen nun nichts mehr im Weg stehen.

And now nothing should stand in the way of a little
playtime for little Paul.
